Language of the Land – Design that speaks in the textures and tones of Istria
Dimnik Estate is an exclusive boutique property in Istria, producing extra virgin olive oil, premium wines, and grappa. Guided by a vision to create a connection between people and nature, the estate’s interior design draws directly from its surroundings, translating the textures, colours, and spirit of the landscape into spaces that feel both sophisticated and deeply familiar.

The interiors begin with the raw materiality of Istria. Rough local stone, used as both façade and wall cladding, anchors the spaces in place and allows the architecture to flow seamlessly from outdoors to indoors. Earth-toned ceramics, echoing the region’s red clay soil, unify the rooms and create a tactile connection to the vineyards and olive groves just beyond the windows.

Light oak wood frames the interiors with warmth, its grain softening architectural lines and evoking a sense of home. Brass-coloured lighting by Panzeri adds a golden glow, complementing the natural textures and introducing moments of refinement and architectural clarity. These accents, combined with carefully placed decorative details, bring a subtle rhythm to the spaces.

The furniture is curated to play with contrast. Bold Baxter furniture pieces introduce sculptural presence, balanced by lighter wooden chairs and softer elements to create harmony between strength and serenity, echoing the vineyards outside — robust yet elegant, grounded yet graceful

Every choice within Dimnik Estate’s interiors reflects the layered character of Istria — the resilience of its stone, the richness of its soil, the warmth of its light. The result is a home intrinsically connected to its setting, a place to pause, breathe, and experience the beauty of the land through every material, texture, and space.
